During a recent visit, I was thrilled to discover that this charming town of just under 7,000 people has really stepped up its game when it comes to welcoming four-legged visitors. There are now even more pet-friendly spots than when I last came, making it easier than ever to enjoy a getaway with your pets by your side. And let’s not forget the beaches—whether you’re soaking up the sun, enjoying a swim, or just strolling along the shore, they are truly spectacular.
So, if you’re looking for a little getaway that lets you slow down, enjoy nature, and create memories with your furry friends, the NSW coast might just be the perfect spot.
Aspen Tween Waters
Situated on the exclusive Fishpen Peninsula, Aspen Holidays Tween Waters provides accommodation just a short walk from Merimbula Beach and the town centre. Beach Cabins
Accommodation is in self-catering cabins, 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms with a solar heated pool, BBQ areas, playgrounds, and located just 200 metres down the grassland is the beautiful Short Point Beach which is dog-friendly. The cabins are pet-friendly most of the year – but not during peak Easter & Summer – ring & ask about exact dates.

Tasman Holiday Parks – Merimbula
Pets can stay year-round in the designated Merimbula camping sites and cabins, except for Christmas school holidays (26 December – 26 January). They are welcome inside the fully self-contained, two-bed Hideaway cabins. Enjoy table tennis, football table and air hockey in the games room. Take the plunge in our heated indoor pool and spa.
