What to do in Barangaroo

Once you arrive at Barangaroo, the area offers a vibrant blend of restaurants, bars, and waterfront parks, making it a perfect spot to wander around, and relax by the water. The whole experience feels more like a leisurely outing than just a means of transport, especially compared to the usual hustle of buses or trains. Remember dogs must be leashed when walking in Barangaroo Reserve.

Marrinawi Cove

Billed as one of the newest swimming spots in Sydney, Marrinawi Cove is a recently established swimming and snorkelling area at the northern end of Barangaroo Reserve. It provides safe access to the clear waters of Sydney Harbour. With a netted swimming zone, it’s an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the natural beauty of the harbour.

On the ferry

The ferry ride itself is also a nice break from the usual rush of city life. You can sit back, relax, and let the gentle motion of the boat and the fresh air help you unwind as you cross the harbour. Whether you’re there to snap a few photos or simply take in the atmosphere, the views alone make the trip worthwhile. It’s a perfect combination of getting from point A to point B while enjoying one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world.

Service animals are allowed in all areas of the ferry. It’s also a good idea to check the specific ferry operator’s guidelines for any additional rules before you travel.
