Ipswich Council is offering  FREE microchipping for your pet.

Making it easier than ever to ensure your furry friends can be identified and returned to you if they ever go missing. You may think this is an expensive undertaking but the council is making it easier for you. Microchipping is a quick, simple, and safe procedure that provides lifelong peace of mind for pet owners.

This initiative is part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to responsible pet ownership and community safety. Microchips store a unique ID number that’s linked to your contact details in a secure national database, helping animal shelters, vets, and councils reunite lost pets with their families.

Why Microchip Your Pet?

  • It’s the best chance of being reunited if your pet is lost.

  • Required by law for dogs and cats in many areas.

  • Permanent and can’t be removed or lost like a collar tag.
