Dog Lovers Show Sydney 2015
Dog Lovers Show Sydney 2015
The Dog Lovers Show is a world-first event that encapsulates the friendship and unconditional love that we share with our self-proclaimed ‘best friends’.
This year saw the return of the event with even more demonstrations, talks and doggie goodies!
We went along to promote our book and pet some pooches.
Held at the Hordern Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park on 15 and 16 August this exciting event was full of education, interaction and four-legged friends!
This year saw our Pet-Friendly Guidebook team up with Haus of Hund, which sells a plethora of stylish pet products, and had a range of cool items for the discerning pet owner.
Our book was also available at Better Read than Dead, which had a whole bookshop devoted to man’s best friend.
Among the other titles on sale was the hugely popular Sydney for Dogs.
There were many cute items for sale at the Haus of Hund stand, and this Keep Calm and Love Dogs bag was particularly popular.
You can get yourself one by visiting their website.
We are always excited to see new and natural products made by small Aussie businesses. Man’s Best Friend Dog Soap was one such item that caught my eye, and I look forward to trying it soon.
It’s a traditional handmade soap for animals created from a recipe handed down by an old Australian country vet from the early 1900s using a combination of natural oils and essential oils.
The best bit is its 100% chemical-free, this medicated soap contains no artificial brighteners, hardeners, lathering agents, phosphates and animal fats.
A Breed Apart
It was great to see so many different breeds at the show and to be able to get up close and personal with a Brussels Griffon, Chihuahua and a Tibetan Terrier or Tsang Apso among many others!
This year had even more dogs to cuddle than before!
We were very pleased to meet Stella the Sheltie who is rumoured to be modelling for TouchDog very soon.
It was the perfect day out for all dog lovers.
We left with a smile on our faces, and crossing our fingers there will be a Cat Lovers Show to attend soon!
