Dog Lovers Show Sydney
Usually the home of rock bands, this weekend saw a different breed at the Hordern Pavillion at the Dog Lovers Show Sydney. From the car park, you could hear dogs barking and sense the excitement as you got closer to the main entrance.
Following the success of Melbourne’s Dog Lovers Show in March, this event promised to be a day of tail-wagging fun.
This was Sydney’s first Dog Lovers Show and was a chance to celebrate, interact and learn more about our best friends. The whole show was bursting with attractions and it was one of the best days out in Sydney – once you walk through the door everything to see and do is FREE!
Dubbed the ‘Greatest Festival of the Pooch’ in Australia, the Dog Lovers Show Sydney had a range of experts giving reliable advice on everything from training, diet, grooming, and celebrity vets answering questions live on stage.
The talented Wonderdogs gave daily displays with Dr Katrina Warren and Farmer Dave’s Muttley Crew delighted crowds with their performances.
With more than 200 exhibitors there was something for everyone. Four Paws and Friends showcased many fabulous pet goodies and there was the opportunity to get up close with dogs at pat-a-pooch, find information on your future furry friend at perfect match and free doggy face painting for kids.
Signed copies of Pet-Friendly Accommodation on Australia’s East Coast were available on the day (when the author wasn’t petting Peanut from Aussie Mobile Vet).
The Dog Lovers Show Sydney was everything it promised to be ‘ 3 great days of 4 legged fun’ and we can’t wait until the next one!
