Dog Friendly Beach: Rose Bay
Rose Bay’s Dog-Friendly Beach
When the sun shines, every day can feel like a holiday in Sydney.
Located in the Eastern suburbs, Rose Bay has a dog-friendly beach overlooking the iconic Sydney Harbour with seaplanes taking off, ferries arriving, nippers in their kayaks and the glittering elegance of the Opera House in the background make this the quintessential Australian beach minus the big waves.
The dog-friendly beach even has its own Facebook page where owners swap photos of their four-legged friends and give advice to others thinking of visiting.
From bichon frise and their bouffant hairstyles to macho staffs and their owners with tatts. It’s a slice of doggy heaven with million dollar views to match!
Responsible Dog Use
The beach can be accessed at Dumaresq Reserve, a ten-minute walk from Rose Bay wharf.
This beach is tidal, so can be very narrow at times!
