Maca’s Camping Ground

Well behaved dogs are allowed at this campsite situated 12 kms from Mullumbimby, and 30 kms from Byron Bay, offering powered and unpowered sites for travellers of all types and ages. Facilities include: quality showers, toilets, kitchen and laundry available to campers.

Blackbird Reserve Camping

A car-based camping reserve which allows dogs and has toilets facilities, access to drinking water. No bookings required. Not suitable for caravans, towing or large vehicles due to road conditions and restrictions.

Racecourse Headland Campground

A dog-friendly primitive campground which has an amenities block with cold showers, disabled toilet access, BBQ, 4WD access.

Delicate Campground

There are 2 dog-friendly campgrounds in the Goolawah Reserve. Both are suitable for tents, vans and campers, situated next to the beach with outside cold showers. Located south of Crescent Head and approximately 450 kilometres north of Sydney.

Coopernook Forest Camping

A peaceful dog-friendly camping area that is located 28 kilometres north of Taree. The camping area can be reached from the Pacific Highway and Moorland turn-off. Facilities include: bins, BBQ facilities, flush toilets, and note there is no power.

Stockton Beach Bush Camping

Stockton Beach

Free beach and bush camping with your pet. Bring drinking water and firewood, and note there are no toilets. A beach vehicle permit is required, and can be purchased at Birubi Beach Service Station, Gan Gan Road.

Cessnock Showground

Dogs are permitted at this popular campsite with large grassy sites that is located near to vineyards and shops. Facilities include: toilets, showers, disabled access, water, BBQ’s and toilet dump. $15 per night for 1 person or $20 for 2 people. Dogs to be be kept on leash.

Lostock Dam Caravan Park

This privately-owned park welcomes pets and is just over a two and a half hour drive from Sydney. 

Guests can enjoy a campfire, birdwatching, bushwalking, fishing, boating, windsurfing, canoeing and swimming in the dam. Set on the Paterson River in the beautiful Hunter Valley.

Campers can stay around the shores of Lake Lyell, you will need to bring firewood or purchase on site. There are BBQs, a kiosk and hot showers available. All dogs are to be kept on a leash and under control at all times.

Berry Showground 

This pet-friendly campsite has excellent amenities and is a fantastic place for tent, trailer or caravan camping. Facilities include: hot showers, a dump point and stable hire. It is a very popular place to stay so it would be advisable to book ahead.

Yadboro Flat Camping

This popular free campsite is pet-friendly. You can picnic or camp beside the Clyde River. Facilities include: toilets, BBQ’s and fishing. Located 34km south-west of Milton via Brooman. Dogs are not permitted in adjoining national park areas.

Town Beach Camping Area

This beautiful dog-friendly campsite on the Murray River includes the following facilities: toilet, water and cold shower. $5 per night. Turn off the Newell Highway onto Deniliquin Road.
