2. Ferry Reserve Holiday Park


Dogs are permitted to stay at this holiday park, which is positioned on the banks of the beautiful Brunswick River. While pets are allowed at tourist sites they cannot go in or near cabins, conditions apply. Dogs must be on a leash at all times whilst in the camping grounds. Guests can enjoy the surf beach, which is a 3 minute drive away, or fishing, kayaking swimming in the river.

3. Wooyung Beach Holiday Park                                  

Located 20 minutes north of Byron Bay, this park is one of the few remaining bush camping grounds on Australia’s East Coast. Pets are welcome in the camping and caravan area, although they must be kept on a leash at all times in the park.  The local beaches across the road are pet friendly and you can enjoy a campfire with the kids.

4. Ballina Lakeside Holiday Park

This park has introduced two (small dog) friendly cabins. The two bedroom Deluxe Spa Villas are now able to accommodate not only the family but the family pet as well. Of course dogs are also welcome on ensuite and powered sites. There is a leash free reserve on North Compton Drive which is only a short walk away from the park.

5. Ballina Beach Village

You are more than welcome to bring your pet to this eco village. Located 4.9 kms from Ballina and offering budget to superior accommodation as well as powered and non powered wilderness camping sites.  The pet rules are simple, keep them on leash when in the village, pick up after them, no barking or aggressive dogs, no banned breeds. The beach in front is a national park, and not pet friendly but there is kms of lovely leash free walks all around, as well as a terrific pet friendly beach 10 mins to the south.

6. Sandalwood Van & Leisure Park

A friendly caravan park where pets are as welcome as people. This peaceful park even accepts horses, so anyone that needs pet-friendly accommodation to stay at in Ballina, should try here. Located close to a dog-friendly beach, but in a bush settling.

A waterfront pet-friendly escape, located north of Coffs Harbour. The holiday park is set in beautiful parkland next to the Pacific Ocean. There is a new playground for children to enjoy.
